Dee sonnet of dee day

I’m Drunk now!
The first beer
Spewed over my chest, Mr. Bones,
Having followed much vodka,
I drank voraciously!

This cold, splendid day was
In absence of happiness,
Joy, or joke. Quietly
Problems did their obligatory circle.

Your love spilled over me
As rushing esters
Swept me away.

Foolish crime, loneliness,
Punished as we commit.

Woot, another theme that is dear to my heart! My poison of choice - tequila! And how do you manage to write so consistently? I always hit dry spells haha

Thanks aristocrat! Glad you enjoyed it. Bottoms up! I generally write several poems a day and keep them to work over later. Some of them never see the light of day thank heaven. But, also I've got a whole bunch that are pretty much ready now, so I can publish one a day if I want.

Hi Sue! I love it when we can discover there is a weather within us as well as the one all around us. Thanks for your perceptive comments!

I envy you! It is a bummer Aristocrat! I hope the muse will fill up your works in progress file. Big danger if that means you must kiss one less hurtingly beautiful set of lips, or cut some sack slack to one more sorority promise(quity) princess. Never, I mean never, kiss less than time lets you. Study to the dawn, if you must (I knew those days) then let your urgent battle dead surrender to some slightly sublime legend of the early morning. May your days be filled with youth's unavoidable aphrodisiacs and the short, painful/sweet feeling of ‘ate you alive’ love. But most of all, may your words find the volcano from which they flow!
