My MP3

Where is the rumble,
The war of thought,
Tension on the shaft
Turning the gears;

Momentum mounts,
Picks up pace,
Music tumbles,
A waterfall of words.

At first it’s slow,
I can write things down
(Then gone beyond
The speed I could).

Symphony of syncopated excitement to simply
Listen I sit, marvel at the sound.

The imagery is so different! I thought of steam engines, of electric guitars, of the Niagara Falls, and OH so many things!
I like the multi-facetedness of this one :)

Thanks pins! I'm delighted this one rattled the ribcage of the hunger of your mind. Thanks for the great comment!

An MP3 55er

Nice.

Well the sun has gone down here - and so I must get up... and start work...

Thanks Roger! You seem to be in an excellent mood. I'm watching for the edge of the night to lift and slip in the cardboard box of first light (which the sun comes in). Unpacking day will be the next order of business.

Mars is very bright in the sky right now. It's in the East.

Watch out for it. It won't be as bright again until 2018.

Thanks Roger! I have never seen it this bright. I noticed it a week ago and was startled! Thanks for passing this on.

I'm haunted by MP3s all over school, children are strapped too them, perhaps we should down load their learning and plug them in. Love the pace of the poem as it speeds to the climax

Yes, me too Sue! The University is packed with them. I often wonder what other poets hear when they write? I get this mounting deluge of words that eventually becomes so fast I can write down only a small part of what I hear. I jokingly refer to it as my MP3.

Thanks for the great comment. I'm glad the pace came across.

This is a nice spin on the ubiquitious MP3 player :) A nice little touch to a tech instrument..

Thanks aristocrat! It's a functional image that was fun to play with.
