Spring Dawn Haiku

Mud blacker than shade,
rippleless silver mirror,
Morning dark dawn kiss.

Very dark brooding and introspective piece. You've captured the steely blue-gray of dawn and its last remnants of darkness beautifully.

A lovely haiku.

There must be something in the air - I too have felt the haiku urge.

Great minds think alike.

Or, possibly, fools seldom differ...

Thanks Laura. Glad you found a good lunchtime antidote!

True Roger, vive le lack of difference. I'm afraid I may have left a stain on the bottom of the bird cage where your haikus so gaily flit. I hope everybody will drop by your blog and enjoy taking the haiku challenge.

For the sleepfinger crowd, the link is Searching for Blue Sea Glass. Come and bring your haiku.

This haiku sneeked in with the smell of dusk, small and perfectly formed

Thanks Sue! This can be a rather sneeky time of day but I love it.
