Outside the disco

Harmed by the view
like a moth,
she stays in the
chilled light of evening.
While winter stretched its arms,
she withdrew all offers –
steaming, sucking teardrops
in gulps
from the ice air
of a winter’s night.

We seem to be attracted to the things that can harm us the most. The fire of night can consume a gentle heart. Well done my friend!!

You're right Ozy. I don't think this was her lucky night. Thanks for the great comment.

Hi Pat! Right you are, my friend, hence the term Fatal Attraction. It is a great sorrow to see such a young heart breaking on such an otherwise acceptable night. It broke my heart to watch. Thanks for the great comment.

Thanks Aurora! I'm glad you liked this. It was one of those moments loaded with passion. The rest of life seems to pass by much more quietly. Thanks for those encouraging words.
