dark espresso
adjective clouds
it was the rougher form
of tag we were playing –
evening exercises
for overactive thoughts
confident doubts
of a calm mirage
floating nervously –
hovering over couches and chairs
knowing the electric moment was coming
cat tail
under the rocker
