rock star

the light was hiding behind
dark espresso
adjective clouds

it was the rougher form
of tag we were playing –
evening exercises
for overactive thoughts

confident doubts
of a calm mirage
floating nervously –
hovering over couches and chairs
knowing the electric moment was coming

cat tail
under the rocker

Thanks Aurora! I was kind of piling them up a bit on my way to the noise at the end. Glad you liked it my sweet.

Yes we do, my sweet! Thanks Gautami. Yes I'm at work for the seventh day in a row this week. Hope it is going better for you!

Beautifully done. I would agree with Aurora that there are many layers to this poem. And I would agree with Pat about cats, having three. Hope you are well. Go Cats! The ones from Tucson of course.

Thanks Don! I'm well and hope the same is true for you. Go Cats (all over the world, I've got one here and several in Tucson)! Thanks for the great comment.
