vodka chicken lips

i roll like a sloth over land and sea
i am not lazy only compromised

rung tumble slumble
foolish word mumble
i am an advanced agent of a dizzy government

overlooking that laughing land
i have just stumbled out of
i want to laugh and
i am so loose

i know that all things are loveable
especially that all too nervous dinner
that not so long ago was worth having

but now presides over the future
precarious as a long drop

I like the line about dizzy government. I feel like a victum of it. Democrat and Republican.

Thanks Terry, I agree. I think a lot of the people in government couldn't pass a brethalyzer most of the time. Thanks for commenting on my drunken little poem.

Well, is this ever different! I like the rolling imagery and vivid descriptions. Good job!

well the way governments behave, its not surprising that they are drunk. sometiems it seems most of the policies are made by guys stoned out of their minds!

liked it much! :)

God, you had me at "vodka chicken lips"!
This is absolutely awesome.

oh, and as a representativeof the government (hic) I would like to state that I, nor any of my associates, have become inebriated before 6:00 am (that I know of at least).

Thanks Aurora! Yes, a serious change of approach has been taken here. I'm glad you liked it and thanks for those complementary words!

Thanks Gulnaz! Yes governments seem as if they have drinking problems, you are right about that for sure! Glad you liked this and thanks for telling me so.

Wow Ozy that sounds like pretty high praise (ha ha). Glad this potable little dandy hit the spot. Thanks for your great comment, my friend.

I agree with Terry. Great line! Government has always been a necessary evil, but today, evil has become necessary to be a politician. jmho

Thanks Pat. I'm glad to have hooked you and Terry up with that theme in common. Thanks for that comment, my friend.

I'm glad Gulnaz! Thanks for thinking about me. I and the 70 other English professors at our university, have just moved from our old offices and are terribly busy teaching classes at the begining of the Fall semmester while trying to unpack boxes. I'm still here, just terribly busy. Keep me in your thoughts, sweet Gulnaz!
